A few subjects which require special attention are hurriedly finished just before the semester ends in many colleges leaving the students to study for themselves concepts which for many may prove to be quite complex. IBPS Specialist Officer Recruitment 2018-2019



The online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the next Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for selection of personnel in Specialist Officers’ cadre posts listed below in the Participating Organisations is tentatively scheduled in December 2018/ January 2019.

The IBPS SO recruitment process is going to be conducted to select Specialist Officer through IBPS SO 2018 is done in three phases:
  • Online Preliminary Exam
  • Online Mains Exam
  • Interview Process
A candidate must qualify both preliminary exam and mains exam to proceed to the interview round. The candidates selected after the interview round are given the appointment letter.

IBPS Specialist Officer Exam Pattern 2018-19

New chanages in IBPS SO 2018-19 Exam are stated below:
  • • The exam will be conducted in three phases: Preliminary, Mains and Interview Process.
  • • IBPS has introduced separate sectional timing for each sections in prelims exam. The IBPS SO preliminary examination has a total duration of 120 mintues and 40 mintues for each sections.
  • • A candidate must appear for the Prelims first and the selected students after the Preliminary Exam will be eligible to give the Mains Exam.
  • • Score of Preliminary Exam will not be taken into consideration for final allottment. Final selection will be based on on the Mains Exam and Interview Process.
  • • The Mains Examination will contain questions only from the Professional Knowledge Subjects.

IBPS SO Preliminary Exam Syllabus

The Preliminary Exam of IBPS SO 2018 comprises of three major sections: Reasoning, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude / General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry (For the post of Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari).
